Travel Medicine

Travel medicine is the branch of medicine that deals with the prevention and management of health problems of international travellers.

As well as the numerous benefits globilisation provides, it also inevitably facilitates the spread of disease and increases the number of travellers exposed to different health environments.

Bucket and Sponge Medical Services offer pre-travel counselling, vaccinations and malaria prevention designed to maintain the health of their internatonal travelling patients.

As part of our service, we offer pre-travel consultation and evaluation, contingency planning during travel and post travel follow-up and care.

We have access to up to the minute country by country vaccination and malaria guidelines along with information on current disease outbreaks.

Comprehensive information on vaccines is available for children and adults. We have instant links to key information sources and provide printed leaflets unique to your personal travel itinery.

Our clincians are happy to give travel advice, by appointment in the travel clinic. A full assessment  travel clinic appointment costs £50 following which vaccinations and prescriptions will be scheduled as needed. Prices of these are available by clicking here.

Please be aware that some vaccines take several weeks to become fully effective so don’t leave arrangements until the last minute to ensure you are fully protected.
